Ousmane Niang (born in 1989, Tamba, Sénégal) is an artist who works and lives in Dakar. Graduated from l’École des
Beaux-Arts de Dakar, he mainly uses acrylic. Throughout a personal bestiary, his paintings, largely inspired from pointillism, depict scenes from everyday situations.
The man-animal figure reveals not only the endurance, but also fragility of the social being faced with powers of all sorts. His art addresses topics as varied as freedom, tyranny, a feel for sharing, traditions, technologies and family life.
